The Women’s Auxiliary of the Delmar Fire Department will have chicken salad, soup, and oyster sandwiches for sale on Saturday, March 13, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the fire hall. You can eat in or carry out — whatever you prefer.
Call 302-846-2530 and ask for any one in the women’s auxiliary if you want to have your order ready when you get there.
Congratulations to Michael and Christi Johnson of Preston, Md., on their new son, Jacob Michael. Jacob was born Wednesday, March 4, weighing 8 pounds 5 ounces and was 20 and 1/2 inches long.
He was welcomed home by his big 4 year-old sister, Abby.
This makes me another great aunt. I stopped by to see them Saturday and he is such a beautiful little boy.
Happy birthday to Michael Downes on celebrating his 22nd birthday March 3, from his family and friends.
Congratulations to Danielle Downes and Lewis Briggs III on their marriage on Feb. 28. They were married at the Grace United Methodist Church in Millsboro and will be making their home in Georgetown.
March 21 through 28, Delmar will host teachers from Japan. A welcome reception with administration and the board is scheduled for March 22 at 2 p.m.
