Easter eggs can be ordered

DSO coming to town
The Delaware Symphony will present its second pops series concert with guest conductor Michael Berkowitz in a musical salute to Frank Sinatra Sunday, March 12, 3 p.m. at Seaford High School, as part of the symphony's Kent and Sussex Series. All tickets cost $20. For tickets call the Grand Opera House box office at 1-800-37GRAND.
Joining Berkowitz and the Delaware Symphony will be singer Tom Postilio, who has toured with the Glen Miller Orchestra and has appeared with the Tommy Dorsey and Count Basie orchestras.

Auxiliary to meet March 15
The Ladies Auxiliary of Sussex County Volunteer Fire Association will meet at the Greenwood Fire Station Wednesday, March 15, 7 p.m.

Scholarship deadline is April 3
The American Association of University Women (AAUW) will award one scholarship in the Laurel, Seaford or Woodbridge School District in the amount of $1,000. This scholarship is open to senior women who will be enrolled in a four-year college working toward a BA or BS degree. A minimum 2.8 GPA is required.
An application form with accompanying cover letter detailing how to apply is available in each high school guidance office.

Soldiers to set up camp
Company "H" of the 2nd Maryland Infantry, Confederate Civil War reenactors, will hold a company drill day Saturday, March 11, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Marvel Carriage Museum, 510 South Bedford St., Georgetown. For more information, call Cpl. Andy Peterson, 337-7585.

Turkey shoot set for Sunday
The Nanticoke Sportsman's Club will host an indoor turkey shoot at the club's complex outside of Seaford Sunday, March 12, at noon. The public is welcome and instruction is available; 12 gauge shells will be provided. For details, call 629-9199.
Adult Plus+ plans trips
The following excursions are sponsored by the Adult Plus+ program at Delaware Technical & Community College, Owens Campus:

• March 17 - to the University of Pennsylvania Irvine Auditorium for a St. Patrick's Day program, "The Irish - and How They Got That Way!" Cost for Adult Plus+ members is $40; public $42; Delaware Tech students, $38.

• April 16 - to the Kennedy Center for a tribute by Liza Minelli to her father, Vincente Minelli, master of the movie musical. Included will be songs from "Meet Me In St. Louis, "Ziegfield Follies," "An American in Paris" and "Gigi." Cost for Adult Plus members is $100; general public, $105. Galestown plans yard sale
A yard sale is being held at Galestown Community Hall on Saturday, March 18, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be a bake table and a food table. Tables may be rented for $5 each. For details, contact Randy Marine, (410) 883-2149.

Buffet will feature chicken
A fried chicken buffet will be held Saturday, March 18, 2 to 6 p.m., at Bethany Church-Lowes Crossroads near Millsboro. Admission for adults is $7.50 and for children is $3. Carry outs cost $7.50.

Boating course planned
The Seaford Flotilla of the Coast Guard Auxiliary will offer the Delaware State Boating Course on March 18 and March 25, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., at the Seaford Dupont plant.
