Computer classes offered
Delmar Middle and High schools will offer a series of computer classes taught by Daria Hofmann, business teacher.
The classes will be held from 9 a.m. until noon on March 4, 11, 18, and 25.
The course will be offered to Delmar School District residents and will be held in the computer lab (room 214).
To register, call the school at (302) 846-9544. These classes are free to Delmar School District residents.

Lions will walk for sight
The Delmar Lions Club will sponsor a Journey for Sight fund-raiser on April 9, at State Street Park, Delmar, beginning at 1:37 p.m.
There will be a 5K race/walkathon with food, drinks and prizes. Cost is $15 or pledges to equal the same amount. Clubs or organizations receives 50 percent of the money they raise. For details, contact any Lions Club member or call 410-896-9118.
Looking for teacher of year
The Delmar School District is soliciting nominations 2001 Delmar Junior-Senior High School Teacher of the Year. Information and nomination forms may be obtained from the Delmar School District Office, 200 N. Eighth St., Delmar, DE 19940.
The Delmar Teacher of the Year will compete for 2001 Delaware Teacher of the Year honors.
Nominees should plan to continue as teachers. They should have the respect and admiration of students, parents, and co-workers and play active and useful roles in their communities. In addition, they should be poised, articulate, enthusiastic and have a superior ability to inspire a love of learning.
Complete nomination forms, with nominee's consent, must be returned to Dr. George E. Stone, superintendent, Delmar School District on or before noon, Friday, April 14.
