Informational meeting for new Christian High School
An informational night for the Delmarva Christian Senior High School will be held Friday, March 16, at 6:30 p.m. at St. John's United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, Pine & Poplar streets, Seaford. Anyone interested in Christian education is invited. The school will open in September 2003. Students now enrolled in the elementary and middle schools will be able to take advantage of this new school. At the meeting a video will be shown to introduce the public to the board members and an overview of the curriculum will be presented. Closing on the land for the high school took place in January. The Waller Collection now being shown at the Laurel Library features early photos of downtown Seaford. Kendal Jones of the Laurel Historical Society is organizing the display.

Real-Aloud training planned
Read-Aloud Delaware volunteer training will be held Wednesday, Feb. 28, 1 p.m. in the Seaford Public Library, Seaford. Volunteer readers are needed at various reading sites in Sussex County. Call 856-2527 for further information.

Elks to host dinner, auction
Seaford Elks Lodge 2458 will host its sixth annual oyster and ham dinner, auction and dance Saturday, March 10, 6:30 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by "Hawaiian George." Tickets, $10 per person, are available until March 5. For details call 629-7357 or 629-2458. Proceeds will benefit the Elks National Foundation.
