Knitters to gather at Library
Knitting enthusiasts will meet at the Laurel Public Library Thursday, Feb. 22, at 10:30 a.m. Eleanor Jamison, former owner of the the Darn Yarn Shop, Seaford, will be available for advice on knitting and yarn selection, design and execution. Organizers hope that this meeting leads to regular gatherings of knitters.

Readathon for MS going on
Kits for a readathon to benefit the Delaware Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society are available at the Laurel Public Library. Participants will have until March 19 to get pledges and read books. For more information, call the Laurel Public Library at 875-3184.

Acorn Club to meet Feb. 22
The General Federation of Women's Clubs-Acorn Club will hold a business meeting on Feb. 22, in the Seaford Library community room at 7:30 p.m. Joyce Schaefer, leadership chairman, will have contracts for the members. Hostess is Pat Tucker.

Dinner will benefit library
On Sunday, Feb. 25, 3 to 6 p.m., the Friends of the Laurel Library will sponsor a beef and dumpling dinner at the Delmar V.F.W. Admission is $7.50. Entertainment will be provided by the Humanaires. Take-out dinners will be available.

Dr. Seuss celebration set
The Laurel Public Library is planning its third annual Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration. Members of the New Century Club will read favorite books from Dr. Seuss on Friday, March 2, at the library. Show times will be at 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. For details, call 875-3184.
