Friday night is gospel night

Pancake supper planned
A Shrove Tuesday pancake supper will be Tuesday, Feb. 27, 4 to 7 p.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church. Admission is $5, free for children 6 and under. The dinner will benefit the Centenary Church Sunday school youth. The church is at Poplar and Market streets, Laurel.

Black history to be celebrated
There will be a black history celebration at Clarence Street Church of God tonight, Feb. 22, 7 p.m. Halvin Blocksom Wilmington and a native of Seaford, will speak.

Church of God plans dinner
The Bridgeville Church of God, 1 mile west of Bridgeville on US404, is hosting a spaghetti dinner Saturday, Feb. 24, 4 to 7 p.m. Cost is $5 and will support the church's short-term missions project. On Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 27 and 28 at 7 p.m., the church will welcome the drama and music group Master's Commission, a.k.a. The Edge.

'Reunion' to perform
St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Laurel, will host "Reunion," a southern gospel singing group, Sunday, Feb. 25, 7 p.m. The church is located off US 13, near Hearns Crossroads. For more information call 856-6107.

St. Luke's to serve pancakes
St. Luke's Episcopal Church is having its annual Shrove Tuesday pancake supper Tuesday, Feb. 27, 6 to 8 p.m. Pancakes, sausage, juice and coffee will be cooked and served by the Sunday school kids. Donations will be accepted. The church is located at Front and King streets, Seaford.
