New Zion celebrates joy
New Zion United Methodist Church holds its Joy Night the second and fourth Friday of every month, at 7 p.m. This monthís second service will be Feb. 28. All singers, musicians, praise dancers, Christian poets, mime groups and individuals are welcome. The church is at 428 West 6th St., Laurel. For details, call the Rev. All Saintís to host dinner
All Saintsí Episcopal Church, 10th and Grove streets, Delmar, will hold a roast beef dinner Thursday, Feb. 20, 5 to 7 p.m. Donations will be accepted at the door.

New Beginnings plans dinner
An all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner will be Sunday, Feb. 23, from 1 to 4 p.m., at New Beginnings Worship Center, 3 miles south of Harrington at US 13 and Williamsville Road. Cost is $5 for adults, $2.50 for children 7 to 12 and free for children 6 and under. For information call 337-0161.

Union UMC to serve turkey
The Union Station Diner will be open at Union United Methodist Church, 2 N. Laws St., Bridgeville, Wednesday, Feb. 26, from 5 to 7 p.m. Members of the church will serve a turkey dinner. Price for adults is $6, $3 for children 10 and under. Proceeds will benefit the church.

Concert to benefit Brown
An evening of southern gospel music featuring Ole Time Gospel Singers Pam Rush, Redeemed, the Robinson Family and Brittany Swift will be Saturday, March 15, at 6 p.m. at Christ Evangelist Church, Bethel Road, just west of US 13, Laurel. An offering collected by Laurel firemen will benefit Laurel fireman Gerald Brown, who is suffering from leukemia.

No Name Band to perform
The No Name Band will perform Friday, Feb. 21, 7:30 p.m., at Grace United Methodist Church, Georgetown. For further information, call Everett Warrington at 337-7198.
Mt. Calvary breakfast set
Breakfast will be served at 7 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, at Mt. Calvary AME Church, Concord. The cost is $5. This event is sponsored by the men of Mt. Calvary. For more information, contact John Oliver at 629-9722.

For sale: sandwiches galore
Church of God of Prophecy, Route 13 North of Delmar, will hold a sandwich sale Saturday, March 1, beginning at 9 a.m. Sandwiches will include oyster, soft-shelled crab and chicken salad. There will also be cheese subs, baked goods, soups, chili, hamburgers and hot dogs.

St Lukeís to start care team
A pastoral care team is being organized at St. Lukeís Episcopal Church in Seaford. Training for spiritual caregivers will begin during the Lenten season. This ministry will serve in conjunction with the rector, the Rev. Jeanne Wise Kirby, and will be a supportive ministry to those experiencing illness, incapacitation, bereavement, or trials of everyday life. An informational meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, at St. Lukeís Parish House, King and North streets, Seaford.

Indoor flea market planned
St. Johnís United Methodist Church, will hold an indoor flea market Saturday, March 22, 7 a.m. to noon. Vendors are welcome. For details, call 628-1131. The church is on Pine Street, Seaford.

St. Paulís to host gospel fest
St. Paulís United Methodist Church is having an evening of gospel music Sunday, Feb. 23, at 7 p.m. The featured groups will be the Sounds of Joy, the Right Road String Band, Don, Carol & Kelly, and Janet Ware, Gary Oster and Minos James. St. Paulís Church is located on Old Stage Road in Laurel. Refreshments will be offered after the service. For more information, call 856-6107.
