Gethsemane dinner, concert
There will be a spaghetti dinner and concert with The Peveys on Saturday, Feb. 19, at 5 p.m. at Gethsemane United Methodist Church, 2701 Woodland Ferry Road, Seaford. The dinner and concert are eight-year-old Nate Christian’s project for his SPARK class at West Seaford Elementary School. The proceeds will benefit Evergreen United Methodist Church in Seaford and “Somewhere Else,” a Seaford area Christian Youth Coffee House. The dinner will start at 5 p.m. and will feature spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, drinks and dessert. A silent auction will take place during dinner with items donated by local businesses. Following dinner at 6:30 a.m., The Peveys, from Alabama, will be performing. The Peveys, Ric and Carolyn and their two children, Cole, 11, and Mabrey-Layne, 8, will be performing contemporary Christian and gospel music. Tickets for the dinner and concert are available at the door for $6 for adults and $3 for children. Gethsemane United Methodist Church is located on Stein Highway at Reliance. Latin Mass February 20
A Latin mass according to the Missal of 1962 is celebrated on the third Sunday of every month at 3 p.m. at Holy Cross Church in Dover. The mass will be celebrated on Feb. 20. The mass is always a Missa Cantata using traditional Gregorian chant. For further information, call 302-674-5781. Choices of Heart Conference Ladies of all ages and teen girls ages 13-17 are invited to the 2005 Choices of the Heart Conference, Friday, March 4, and Saturday, March 5, at the Atlanta Road Alliance Church in Seaford. Christie Miller, wife, mother, English and drama teacher, will be the keynote speaker. Sharing God’s Word from her heart experiences, she’s practical, challenging, entertaining, and transparent. The weekend includes twelve informative workshops: Two day registration for adults is $25; one day for adults is $15. Two-day registration for teen girls is $10; one day is $5. Doors open at 6 p.m. on Friday and the sessions are from 7-10:15 p.m. Saturday begins with a light breakfast at 7:45 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. sessions. Register early as seating is limited. Centenary Lenten study
Centenary United Methodist Church, Poplar and Market streets, Laurel, will be hosting a Lenten Bible Study called, “What Do United Methodists Believe.” This study begins on Sunday, Feb. 27, at 4 p.m. and will end on Palm Sunday, March 20. All are welcome to this one-hour seminar.
Tsunami Area Missionaries
Seaford Church of the Nazarene at 520 South Dual Highway, on Thursday, Feb 24, at 7 p.m. is hosting Larry and Phyllis West, missionaries from the Tsunami afflicted country of Indonesia. They will be speaking about the mission work there and the impact of the horrific disaster that occurred there as well as in other southeast Asian nations. Greater Faith Quartet
Greater Faith Quartet from Knoxville, Tenn., will be at the Seaford Church of the Nazarene, 520 South Dual Highway, Seaford (on U.S. 13 South next to The Guide) on Saturday, March 5, at 7 p.m. Fellowship and refreshments will follow the concert. Laurel Baptist revival

Trustees day at New Zion
The trustees of new Zion United Methodist Church in Laurel will celebrate their annual Trustee’s Day on Sunday, Feb. 20, at 3:30 p.m. The Rev. Marie Robertson of Mount Calvary United Methodist Church in Bridgeville will be the guest speaker. The Rev. Timothy A. Duffield, Sr. is the pastor.

Church of the Nazarene
