College to look at treating aged
Gerontology workshops at Delaware Tech, Owens Campus, are designed to provide health-care workers with the skills to succeed in the growing field of elder care. Two-hour sessions will be held on Tuesday evenings, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Feb. 22, March 21, April 11 and May 16.

Registered nurses can earn contact hours for continuing education requirements with the new Health Assessment series offered by the Health Institute at Delaware Technical & Community College, Owens Campus. Have A Heart saves a heart
Have A Heart is a community-wide effort that raises funds to help the American Heart Association (AHA) fight heart disease and stroke.
Hearts can be purchased at the following businesses: Bonanza in Milford, Millsboro and Delmar, Felton Bank in Felton and Milford, Golden Corral in Seaford, Geyer's Restaurant, Capital Cleaners, and Peninsula Oil in Milford, Applebee's Restaurant in Seaford, RJ Riverside Restaurant in Laurel, and Delaware National Bank branches.
Customers are encouraged to purchase hearts in honor or memory of a loved one, or just for fun.
