Applications for spring pre-school being accepted
The Raider Preschool, an on-site learning laboratory at Woodbridge High School, is accepting applications for the spring session.
The preschool is located in Bridgeville and is conducted by child development students under the direction of Rita Hovermale.
The session runs Tuesdays through Fridays from Feb. 1 to May 28 and provides a variety of learning and social activities.
The preschool hours are 2 to 3:30 p.m. The total cost for the entire session is $150 per student.
Application packets are available at the high school or by calling Hovermale at 337-8289.
CHEER center plans activities
AARP Free Tax Service for seniors over 55 will be offered at the CHEER Center in Greenwood every Friday in February, March and April from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. For an appointment, call 349-5237.
AARP defensive driving classes will be held March 22 and 23, 9:30 to 2:30. Cost is $10 per person. Call 349-5237 to sign up.
• Thursday, Feb. 3 - Program on arthritis and exercise at 10:30 a.m. Grocery shopping after lunch.
• Friday, Feb. 4 - Judi Howard from Blue Cross will speak from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Dr. Kevin Carson will discuss the Woodbridge School district referendum at 10:30 a.m.
