Seaford Lions Club Basket Bingo tonight
The Seaford Lions Club will hold a Longaberger Basket Bingo on Thursday, Jan. 31, starting at 7 p.m. at the VFW, located on Middleford Road in Seaford. The evening will consist of 20 games and will feature several basket combinations. Tickets are $25 at the door. Nearly 28 chances to win. The grand prize is a Hostess Large Hamper. SHS Class of 62
The Seaford High School Class of ‘62 is planning its 40th reunion for Oct. 18 & 19. It has lost addresses for these members: Michael Allen, Janet Booth Snead, Neil Edgell, Greg Getz, Lynn Carlisle Lewis, Edgar David Parker, Janice Marlene Pearson, Vicki Seney Daniel, Bonnie Sirman Whaley, Connie Hasson Mullen, Joanne Cannon, Ellen Ann Prater, Dale Duncan, and Gail Walls James. Seaford Pageants planned
The Seaford Lioness Club is planning the annual Little Miss/Miss Seaford Pageants, which will be held on Friday, March 8, at 7 p.m. in the Seaford High School auditorium. The club is accepting applications for both pageants at this time. Call 628-0835.
Frederick Douglass families love to Read! February 7
Join us on Feb. 7 for our new and improved “Reading Hand-In-Hand” night. We took your suggestions from previous years and made many changes. Please bring your family and join us for the evening. Snacks will be provided. The tentative schedule of events is: 6:30-6:45 p.m., Welcome and Reading of a children’s book; 6:50-7:15 p.m., Parent presentation on DSTP, children proceed to reading activity; 7:15-7:45 p.m., parents join children to complete activity; 7:45-8 p.m., Refreshments and door prizes. We look forward to seeing you on Feb. 7.

Father/Daughter Valentines Dance
Father and father figures and their daughters are cordially invited to dance the night away and spend some quality time together on Friday, Feb. 8. It will be held at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church on High Street in Seaford from 7-10 p.m. The church’s Fellowship Hall will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland so plan on putting on your fancy duds and your dancing shoes and enjoying the DJ, decorations and refreshments. Tickets are $5 per person and only 150 will be sold so don’t delay on making your plans. Each family is asked to bring a baked good or treat to share and special keepsake pictures will be available for purchase. The dance is for father/father figures and daughters only but any mothers who are interested in helping are welcome. Tickets are available at the Mt.
