Gospel music fest planned
The 13th anniversary celebration of the Second Generation Community Chorus will be Sunday, Feb. 3, 3:30 p.m. at Talbot County Auditorium, Mecklenburg Ave., Easton, Md. Guests of honor are 2001 SGCC Gospel Music Hall of Fame inductees the Nichols Sisters of Mardela Springs, Md.; the Sensational Royal Lights of Cambridge, Md.; Rosemary Martin and Choir; guitarist Kendall Magee of Federalsburg, Md.; and poet Leonia Robinson of Lewes. Master of ceremonies will be the Rev. Dr. Willie L. Savage, pastor of First Baptist Church, Dover.

St. Paul’s Singers to perform
St. George’s United Methodist Church, St. George Road between Laurel and Delmar, will host the Rev. Don Murry and the St. Paul’s Church Singers Sunday, Feb. 3, 7 p.m. This concert is one of the Sunday-night services for the Laurel-Mt. Pleasant Charge.

Church to host Sounds of Joy
Sounds of Joy, a women’s trio from St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Laurel, will be at Grace Baptist Church, Atlanta Road, Seaford, for a hymn sing Sunday, Feb. 3, 7 p.m. The trio consists of Mona Smart, Gladys Simons, Rose Fluharty, Dave Fluharty on guitar and Marie Derrickson on piano.
Fashion show and tea set
The Bridgeville Charge United Methodist Churches are sponsoring a fashion show and tea Saturday, Feb. 16, 3 p.m. at the Bridgeville Fire Hall. There will also be a Silent Auction. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for age 16 and under. Deadline for purchase of tickets is Feb. 2. For tickets, contact Kaye Gibbs at 337-8079. Proceeds from the show will benefit the churches’s Women’s Day.

Prayer breakfast for women
Foggie AME Zion Church, Bridgeville, will hold its second annual Women’s Prayer Breakfast Saturday, Feb. 9, 9 a.m. The theme is “Women Standing on Holy Ground.” Keynote speaker will be co-pastor, Ruth Flowers, Family Enrichment Worship Center, Laurel. Traditional Latin mass set
A Latin mass according to the Missal of 1962 will be celebrated Sunday, Feb. 10, 3 p.m. at Holy Cross Church in Dover. This mass is usually celebrated on the third Sunday of the month, but for this one month, it will be celebrated on the second Sunday of the month. The mass is always a “Missa Cantata” using traditional Gregorian chant. For further information, call 302-674-5905 or 302-629-8863.

Fire Of The Spirit Youth Night, presented by Jericho Fellowship International Inc. for youth leaders, will be Tuesday, Feb. 12, 7 p.m., at Mt. Olivet Church, High Street, Seaford.
