Mardi Gras for Hope House
The theme is “Mardi Gras” at the Laurel Fire Hall, 8 p.m.-midnight, on Saturday, March 6. Price is $30 per person. Music by “The Honeycombs,” with all types of dancing. Finger food buffet, complimentary sodas, entertainment, silent auction, and much more. A cash bar. Singles are welcome; costumes are optional. Tickets will be available locally at Bev’s Spec’s, County Bank or Ambassador Travel. All proceeds will be used to support Hope House in Laurel.

Friends of Laurel Library
The Friends of the Laurel Library will raffle a sweater at the Annual Mid-Winter Blue-Chaser Beef & Dumplings Dinner, Delmar V.F.W., 200 State St., Delmar, Feb. 29, 3-6 p.m. Tickets for the dinner are $7.75. Tickets for the sweater raffle are $1 for one chance, $5 for six chances. Tickets for the dinner may be purchased at the Laurel Library or call 875-3184.

Laurel Lioness selling chances
The Laurel Lioness Club members are selling chances for “A Weekend in May” at the Atlantis Condominiums in Ocean City, Md. (excludes Springfest and Memorial Day Weekends). The winner will also receive $100 in cash. Tickets are $3 each or 2 for $5. Contact any Lioness member for your chances.
