Ham/Turkey Shoot
Ellendale Ruritan will hold their Ham/Turkey Shoot at the Ellendale V.F.W., Road 607 (1/2 mile south of Rt. 113 and 16 intersection), at 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 24. Refreshments will be available for sale. For possible cancellation call 422-2948.

Green Wing Day registration open
Delaware Ducks Unlimited will present its annual Green Wing Day on Saturday, March 27, at Owens Station in Greenwood from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The program is free and open to youth ages 6-16 but all who participate must pre-register by Feb. 15. Registration can be made by contacting Rick Berry at 674-0444 or 697-9758 or Tony Senn at 422-5068 ( The program includes a free one-year membership in Green Wing, a T-shirt, and lunch. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the activities begin at 9:30 a.m.and include archery, shooting, decoy carving, casting, boating safety, clay target shooting, and much more.

  Woodbridge students honored
The students of the month for December for Woodbridge Middle School were Melody Gray (seventh grade), Matthew Heo (seventh grade), Amber Smoot (eighth grade), and Latisha Wilson (eighth grade).
