Ellendale Fundraiser
Tickets are now on sale for the Ellendale Community Civic Improvement Association, Inc., third annual fundraiser and banquet to help raise funds for sewer hook-up fees for residents of Ellendale who may need assistance. The event will be held Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001, at 5 p.m., at the Milford Senior Center, Northeast Front Street, Milford.Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under, and can be purchased from Johnnie Williams, 856-3125. In addition to the fundraiser, nine outstanding community service awards will be presented. Two local people, Jesse Jean Evans and Martha Massey, both of Bridgeville, are among those to be honored. Donations are accepted. Checks may be made, payable to ECCIA and mailed to ECCIA, Inc., Attention: Harold Truxon, president; P.O. Box 327, Ellendale, DE 19941 Any businesses, individuals, churches, civic or community organizations who would like to purchase a table ($250) can do so and their name will be placed on the table as a contributor, as well as listed in advertisements.

Spaghetti dinner Jan. 19
The Woodbridge Music Boosters will be having an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner on Friday, Jan. 19, from 4-7:30 p.m., at the Woodbridge Elementary Cafeteria, Greenwood. Tickets are $5 each, children five and under are free. Take out available at the door. This will benefit the Woodbridge Middle/High School music department. Greenwood cancels election
The Greenwood Town Council election scheduled for Jan. 20 has been canceled. The seats of two members of council, Carl Peters and Brenda Tallent, were up for election. No one filed to run against the incumbents, both of whom filed for reelection.
