Election Saturday in Bridgeville
The town of Bridgeville will hold elections for two seats on the Bridgeville Commission on Saturday, Jan. 12.
Incumbents Margaret Sipple and Earl Greason and former commissioner Robert Slater are competing for the two two-year vacant seats.
Sipple has served four two-year terms on the Bridgeville Commission. During her eight years on the commission she has served as streets commissioner and secretary.
Sipple, who moved to the area in 1951 after growing up in North Carolina, was the first woman to be elected to the Bridgeville Commission. She drove busses for over 20 years before retiring.
Greason is at the end of his first two-year term. He chose to run the first time around because he felt there were some issues that needed to be addressed.
He won the seat two years ago after running unopposed.
Incumbent Pat Correll will fill the commissionís final available seat (a one-year term) after running unopposed this year.
The election will take place noon to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12 at town hall.
