Fitness for New Year
Get fit and have fun. Classes start on Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 6 and 7, and are held in St. John’s United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall (sponsored by St. John’s but open to the public). Monday-Wednesday-Friday, 9 a.m. (free quality child-care for morning sessions) and Tuesday and Thursday, 5:30 p.m. Beginners to advanced participants welcome in this co-ed, non-competitive, muscle-toning, stretching/hi-lo aerobic class. NLL Basket Raffle
The Nanticoke Little League is sponsoring a Longaberger Basket Raffle. One $5 ticket buys you 28 chances to win a new Longaberger Basket. Baskets include the Small and Large Sweetheart baskets, Easter Basket combos, Tarragon Booking basket and several others. The raffle will be held Feb. 1-28. If the number on your ticket matches the Delaware Lottery Play 3 evening drawing number, you win a basket. Tickets are now on sale. Blue Mountain Ski Trip
The Seaford Department of Parks and Recreation is planning a Ski Trip to Blue Mountain, Sunday, Feb. 2. Call 629-6809.
Lions Basket Bingo
The Seaford Lions Club will hold a Longaberger Basket Bingo on Thursday, Jan. 23, starting at 7 p.m. at the V.F.W., located on Middleford Road in Seaford. The evening will consist of 20 exciting games and will feature several baskets including the Small and Large Sweetheart combos, Small Storage Solutions, Saffron Booking, and several regular line baskets as prizes. Advance tickets are $20 per person, $25 at the door. Advance ticket includes a chance to win the Hostess Large Hamper or numerous other door prizes. Nearly 30 chances to Win! Babies and Toddlers
The “Parents As Teachers” program invites parents and their children from birth to age three to a free “Stay and Play Center” at Seaford Dept. of Parks & Recreation (SDPR) on Virginia Avenue. Sessions are on Mondays from 10:30 a.m. to noon. (Closed on school holidays.)
